NATIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL 2019 FIDDLE RALLY

CALLING FIDDLERS AND CELLISTS (AND VIOLISTS, OF COURSE)

Judy Turner and Chris Duncan are delighted to fill in for the indomitable Trish Barker at the 2019 National Folk Festival Fiddle Rally. They and the whole rally group will be supported by an ace rhythm section of Catherine Strutt (piano) Neil Adam (guitar) and Jennifer Strutt (bass). Chris has chosen 4 Scottish tunes, Judy has chosen 5 originals by people performing at this festival. With a little luck, they might even come and play them with us! Please print off all the tunes attached and learn as many as you can ahead of the festival – the fun will be in the arranging, which we will do together, and in performing them without music, wherever possible. If you want to perform at the final concert (in the Budawang on Monday evening) then you need to commit to being at all three rehearsals as well. People who can play the tunes by heart will be sitting in the front row! Looking forward to seeing you there. Bring your music with you if you need it. If you have any questions ahead of time phone Judy on 0438 560 741.
