Judy Turner has been passionate about fundraising since a child, and at the age of 14 successful campaigned to raise money for a local primary school in Port Moresby. She went on to devote most of her 20s to Amnesty International, building their annual appeal and running a raft of successful events. As a volunteer she grew income for the many music projects she was involved in, most notably building the mighty Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club through the power of crowd funding, grant writing, sponsorship, and major gifts. Her professional fundraising life has included being a grant maker for federal and local government, then a solo development manager for the Jewish Museum of Australia, managing Annual Giving for The Australian Ballet, working with major donors at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, running the Foundation for the Royal Women’s Hospital and delivering the capital campaign for the Melbourne School of Design at the University of Melbourne.  She now advises community-based boards on strategic fundraising and is available to help your group find new ways to generate support and build capacity.
